THERE IS NOT ONE BEST WAY TO STUDY A LANGUAGE. Some have very good "sound memory". Some have very good speech articulation skills. Some have an analytical approach. A lot may also depend on what your original native language is. A lot also depends on your knowledge of metalinguistics (I know it sounds scary, but it means how well you know the grammar/syntax of your own native language.)
